Rockin' Remnants

Rockin' Remnants is broadcast from WVBR-FM Ithaca. Check out our web page, like us on Facebook, and tune in to 93.5 or stream the show every Saturday night!  (Or download the WVBR+ app now available for iOS and Android!)

Date:  July 6, 2013
Host:  John Rudan
Feature:  1970

The Summer of 1970 was hot, but the music blasting out of AM radios and jukeboxes was even hotter!  Three Dog Night topped the chart for the first time, the Brits offered up Vanity Fare and White Plains, and The Carpenters were on their way to the top of the BB Hot 100 with one of the biggest hits of the summer.

Congratulations to all our winners from Saturday!  One of the ticket giveaways was for a band fronted by two people who used to be in THIS band (see photo) -- can you name them?
