Passing: Donna Jean [Thatcher] Godchaux-McKay (b. 8/22/47, d. 11/2/25) only female member of the Grateful Dead, she belonged to that band from 1972-79 and was married to keyboardist Keith Godchaux. Godchaux got her start as a back-up singer at the Muscle Shoals studio, where she sang on Percy Sledge's "When a Man Loves a Woman" as well as Elvis' "Suspicious Minds".
