45 Corner


First of two tonight featuring the oh-so-rare oh-so-hard to find

single version of "The Court Of The Crimson King part 1" by

King Crimson. The LP version of this checks in at 9:32 and

features one of the best false endings of all time! The 45 was

divided into two parts 3:30 and 4:30 leaving off the false ending.

We'll hear both parts of the mono single. The late Greg Lake

is on lead vocals; peaked at #80 in 1970.

Our second 45 Corner tonight features the mono radio promo short version of "Feel Like Makin' Love", Bad Company.  The promo single version is 3:30, trimming the commercial 45 version of 5:12 by totally eradicating the 2nd verse, making a fancy edit in the ending guitar solo and a fast fade; peaked at BB Hot 100 #10 in 1975.
