The Right Thing to Do - Carly Simon (1973 - #17: Simon's love song to her then husband James Taylor; she took the line "loving you is the right thing to do" from the movie The Last Picture Show)

Is It Any Wonder - The Turtles (1967 - NR: unreleased single that first appeared on the group's "Golden Hits" LP on White Whale records)

Colour My World - Chicago (1971 - #7: double-sided single with "Beginnings"; the song was written by James Pankow, sung by Terry Kath, and features Walter Parazaider on the flute solo)

The Colour of My Love - Jefferson (1969 - #68: "Jefferson" was really Geoff Turton from Birmingham, England)

Misty - Johnny Mathis (1959 - #12: written in 1954 by pianist Erroll Garner, Johnny Burke later added lyrics; Mathis' signature song)

*Every Time I Think of You - The Babys (1979 - #3: the group's last top 20 hit in the US, featured John Waite on lead vocals)

(Night Time Is) The Right Time - Ray Charles (1959 - #95: song originated in 1937; this version was featured in the second season of "The Cosby Show")

Dedicated to the One I Love - Mamas and Papas (1967 - #2: song hit the Hot 100 by The 5 Royales and the Shirelles, but this version had the best chart success, although "Happy Together" by The Turtles kept it from the top spot; Michelle Phillips sang the lead vocal)

This Guy's in Love With You - Herb Alpert (1968 - #1: before he appeared on a TV special, Alpert, known for his trumpet work, approached Burt Bacharach to ask if he had any unrecorded songs laying around.  Burt pulled "This Guy's" out of a drawer and Alpert sang the song on TV. So many viewers called in that they recorded and released it.  It spent 4 weeks at #1)

Yes I Will - The Association (1969 - #122: from the LP "The Association"; woulda, coulda, shoulda been a hit, but the group was suffering from an image problem in 1969 - too 'pop' when music was changing; we heard the LP track)
