Date:  4/4/20
Host:  JR
Feature:  45's for 45!

It was on this day on April 5th, 1975, that a very nervous teenager made his debut on WVBR hosting Rockin' Remnants!  That, of course, was me, and you can peruse the 45's that I listened to on the AM radio and I that I bought to listen to on the old RCA phonograph... Unfortunately, my co-host, John Simon, was unable to be part of the program (Covid-19 rears its ugly head yet again), but we are already planning a "Part 2" when things get back to normal!
Hang on in there, everybody...

The first song I ever played on the FM air was Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones!  I was a huge fan, and wore out many copies of "Hot Rocks".  To put that into perspective, the song was only 9 years old in 1975, yet was considered an "oldie".
Today that would translate to songs from 2011 being oldies!

The opening theme to the show as long as I can remember has been Old Time Rock and Roll by Cat Mother and the All Night News Boys, while the outro theme that I first remember was Good Night My Love by Jesse Belvin.  At some point the outro theme was changed to Sleepwalk by Santo & Johnny, where it remains to this day.
